It is designed to precision-mill the fork crown race seat so a headset lower race sits flawlessly flat and centered.
The entire assembly is super clean, showing only the lightest evidence of careful handling and dry workshop storage. The original Campagnolo tool steel milling edges are razor-sharp with absolutely zero chips, dull spots, or rust. This is the standard 1-inch configuration, and the #718/6 locking ring features ITALIAN threading.
This complete configuration includes the main #718 T-handle guide column body with the integrated crown race cutting head, the original #718/5 heavy-duty compression spring to maintain even downward pressure during milling, and the original #718/6 knurled threaded lockring used to preload and compress the spring assembly.
