NOS Vintage 1950s/60s CARLTON flint catchers / tyre savers
Rare Vintage 1950s/60s CARLTON flint catchers / tyre savers in New Old Stock condition.
These are designed to remove flints, etc. from the tubular (or clincher tyre) before the second revolution of the wheel which is when flints get embedded into the rubber and then with each further turn of the wheel work their way through until the tube is punctured.
Suitable for racing/road use tyres such as early tubulars/sew ups etc...
These are the long version, designed to fit around mudguards/fenders.
